Presentation formats
Please note that the accepted formats include only individual presentations (abstracts for talks or posters) or symposia. The button “Panel discussion” is reserved for special purposes and should not be used.
Guidelines for talk and poster submissions and presentations
Submission
Submissions for individual talks and posters are treated in the same way. Presentations that will be ranked best will be planned as oral presentations, unless the preferred format is marked as Poster presentation.
The abstracts are 300 words maximum with no figures or tables. Please do not include the list of references. If it is absolutely necessary to include the source for a reference, please do so in parentheses in the text.
Note that a maximum of two first-authored presentations will be accepted for each author, whether as individual talks/posters, or within symposia. There is no limit on submissions, the abstract that are ranked best will be selected for presentation. If the submissions include talks in symposia, these will be given preference.
Preliminary presentation guidelines for talks
In the oral sessions, there will be 5 talks in each 2-hour session, so individual talks will be given 18 minutes for presentation, 5 minutes for discussion, and 1 minute for speaker change. To keep the conference on time, we will be strict on the time limits.
Presenters should be present in the room 15 minutes before the beginning of their session to upload the presentations, which should use the powerpoint or pdf format.
Preliminary presentation guidelines for posters
The preferred poster format is portrait in the A0 format, i. e. approximately 90×120 cm. The boards are 95×150 cm, so they should fit somewhat larger posters.
Presenters will be responsible for putting the posters up, the fixation materials will be provided.
Guidelines for symposia
Following IASCL tradition, the majority of the oral presentations will be in the form of symposia. The symposia will include four or five spoken presentations, and can also include a discussant, in which case there should only be four presentations. Symposia are limited to a single 2-hour slot.
Submission
A symposium proposal is submitted by the convenor and must include a max. 300-word abstract for the whole symposium as well as max. 300-word abstracts for each presentation. Note that each presenter (first author) of a symposium must be registered in the submission system in order to submit the whole symposium: the submitter will have to select them from the existing system users (please see the technical submission guidelines for details).
Like for individual presentations, the abstract for the symposia and talks within symposia can have maximum of 300 words with no figures or tables.
Preliminary presentation guidelines for symposia
The organization and schedule of the symposium is determined by the convenor. Generally, the speakers should be present in the room 15 minutes before the beginning of their session to upload the presentations, which should use the powerpoint or pdf format.
